The next faery ball will be in 2018. This year the fae will be gathering in the woods and playing without formality.
The king will be in the woods at the appointed hour. Anyone choosing to also be in the woods at the appointed hour will be welcomed with joy! (What this means is that we are NOT doing a formal, official gathering – we have not booked the site and so we become a group of individuals and small groups that just happen to be in the park at the same time.)
We invite any of our fellow faeries who are interested to also come out to Court:
Date: Saturday, March 18
Time: 2:00 pm until we’re done (ritual at 2:30 sharp!)
Location: Robert Burnaby Park
(From Wedgewood Street, turn onto Hill Avenue and go down the hill. When you reach Elwell Street turn LEFT into the parking lot (Elwell Street is actually on the right side of Hill but across from it is a parking lot). Park there. Continue into the park along the path that would be the continuation of Elwell Street until you see the shenanigans that will be about 50-70 feet in on your right.)
Bring: Musical instruments of any kind, festival spirit, food if you wish to eat, drink if you wish to drink, and the awareness that you will be taking part in a sacred and natural rite celebrating the turning of the wheel from Winter Court to the Summer Court.
Wear: Try to stay away from jeans, t-shirts and the like. Try to come in dress appropriate to a faery court, yet still honouring the weather of the day.
Come and witness the challenges of the Oak Prince! See him be risen up to King!
RSVP’s are encouraged though not necessary (as again this is an unofficial event). Check out the FB event page!
